BMS or intelligent battery management system

All Qoltec LiFePO4 batteries are equipped with a BMS, which is an essential element of battery protection. The system takes care of increasing the service life of the cells. It constantly monitors the operation of the battery, protecting the cells from overheating, overcharging and deep discharge, cutting off the power supply when values are exceeded that pose a potential danger to the battery and connected devices.



How to connect Lifepo4 batteries correctly?

Our LiFePO4 batteries can be connected in series and parallel. The only condition to be fulfilled in order not to damage the battery is to use a battery with the same voltage, capacity and degree of wear. If you want to increase the voltage, you must connect the battery in series, i.e. (+) with (-). If we want to increase capacity, we connect in parallel (+) with (+) and (-) with (-). A maximum of 4 batteries can be connected together. So, for example, connecting in parallel four batteries with a capacity of 9Ah and a voltage of 12.8V will increase the capacity to 36Ah and the voltage will remain the same at 12.8V, in the case of a series connection, the voltages will add up to V and the capacity will remain the same at 9Ah.
