The first thing you notice about the Gigaset A690 is its large, illuminated black and white graphic display. Its greatest advantages are the size of the characters in dial mode and the strong contrast between the black digits and the white background, which makes it much easier to read the information on the phone's screen. The ergonomic keypad with illuminated keys and intuitive operation also contribute to greater telephoning convenience.

Blacklist - no more unwanted calls

If you've had enough of unwanted calls and harassing telemarketers, you can eliminate anonymous calls or incoming calls from specific numbers by adding them to a blacklist with a maximum capacity of 32 entries. When activated, the function automatically rejects a call from such a number or signals it on the display without activating the phone's ringer. Numbers can be added to the blacklist manually or copied from call history. You can also block anonymous calls (without number identification) from ringing and set time ranges within which the phone should signal or not signal incoming calls. What's more, you can add selected numbers to a VIP group to ensure that these calls are always signalled even when the 'do not disturb' function is activated.

Cordless phone with phonebook and long talk time

The Gigaset A690 gives you up to 14 hours of talk time without recharging. So you can rest assured that your call will not be interrupted and the handset will always be ready to use.  The integrated phonebook can store up to 100 names and numbers. In addition, the last 25 calls, together with the caller's number and the time they rang, are displayed on the phone's display, allowing the user to quickly call back. The handset remains in standby mode for 180 hours without recharging.

Always environmentally friendly - radiation reduction with ECO DECT function

Like all Gigaset cordless phones, the Gigaset A690 is equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. This means the phone doesn't emit any radio radiation in standby mode, even if you're using multiple handsets, as long as the system base and all connected handsets also support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the handset and the telephone base. The shorter the distance between the handset and the base, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, ECO DECT mode can be switched off at any time.
